Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Delhi where our representative will meet you and facilitate you to check in at the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi
After your breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to visit Old Delhi- the former center of Mughal power which offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling markets. Visit the Red Fort built in 1648 by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan famous for his great edifice of love the Taj Mahal. Also see the biggest mosque in India the Jama Masjid, constructed by Shah Jahan in 1658. Take a rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk to get a feel of the royal life of the Mughal emperors.
Post lunch you will be taken to see the “New Delhi” which came into existence much later, and is also known as Lutyens Delhi, taking after the name of a British architect who was largely responsible in designing the India Gate, The Presidential House, the Secratariat, the Parliament House and many other buildings in that area.
Drive on to see the tallest tower in Delhi, known as Qutub Minar, which declared the arrival and rise of Islam in India. Evening back to the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3: Delhi- Agra
After an early breakfast, leave for Agra which is 205 kms from Delhi and about a four hour drive. Reach Agra and check in at the Hotel. Post lunch you will be taken to visit the famous monument of love- the Taj Mahal. This most famous Mughal monument was constructed by Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal who died while giving birth to his 14th child and after just 17 yrs of marriage. It has been described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love. The central structure has four small domes surrounding the huge central dome. The Taj Mahal is not open to visitors on Fridays. Enjoy a tonga ride at the Taj Mahal.
After the Taj Mahal, visit the Agra Fort which lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart of town. It was built by Emperor Akbar as his citadel over the years 1563-73 in the finest architectural style. It has imposing gats and walls of red sandstone and a moat. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 4: Agra- Jaipur
The drive from Agra to Jaipur takes about 4 hours as the distance is 238 kms. After breakfast visit Fatehpur Sikri enroute to Jaipur. Fatehpur Sikri is the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the 16th century. Upon arrival at Jaipur check in at the Hotel and have some leisure time till evening.
Spend the evening at Chokhi Dhani, an authentic village complex on the outskirts of Jaipur.
Return to the hotel after dinner & overnight stay.
Day 5: Jaipur
Full day sightseeing and shopping in Jaipur. Visit the Amber Fort & Palace in the morning.
Then visit City Palace in the heart of the old city which is the former royal residence that houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and an armoury of the Mughals and the Rajputs.
Near the Palace is Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, the largest of Jai Singh’s five remarkable observatories. Also visit the landmark of the “Pink City” the Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds, built to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch the processions passing in the street without being seen.Other places of interest that you can visit in Jaipur are Laxmi Narayan Temple & Albert hall museum.
Evening can be spent in strolling in the many streets or lanes of the Bazaar to pick up souvenirs and memorabilia. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur to Udaipur by flight.
Morning take a flight from Jaipur to Udaipur.
Reach Udaipur, pick up from airport and check in at hotel.
Later proceed for sightseeing to places of interest at Udaipur like Lake Pichhola- The picturesque lake that entranced Maharaja Udai Singh.
City Palace: Is the famous museum with a collection of Rajasthani Art D Facts.
Ahar - The ancient capital of sisodias, 3 Km from Udaipur, is a profusion of royal cenotaphs of the rulers of Mewar.
Evening at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Full day sightseeing at Udaipur
Sajjan Garh : The monsoon palace offers a panoramic overview of the city's lakes, palaces and the surrounding countryside.
Gulab Bagh : A spectacular rose Garden laid out by maharana Sanjjan Singh
Saheliyon - Ki Bari A Garden for the maids of honour with numerous fountains brings the unique life style of the royal ladies who once strolled here.
Jagdish Temple built in 1651 by Maharaja Jagatji Singh I, this Indo-Aryan temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur with noteworthy sculpted images.
Overnight at a hotel in Udaipur
Day 8: Udaipur to Delhi by flight.
Morning at leisure or option for some more sightseeing at Udaipur.
Afternoon take flight to Delhi. Pick up at airport and transfer to International airport for flight back home.
